What are the age, height and weight limits?

MegaZip

The minimum height to securely fit into one of our harnesses is 70 cm, and the maximum weight is 120 kg. Guests less than 50 kg can travel in tandem with one another or an adult.

ClimbMax

ClimbMax requires an element of bravery, and children over 8 years old can normally complete it. The design of the course is such that children less than 120 cm are unable to reach the obstacles. Again, our safety equipment means the weight limit is 120 kg.

ParaJump

Our ParaJump equipment requires guests to be between 30 kg and 120 kg.

Is the activity suitable for everyone?

We have designed the park to be fun and challenging for everyone!

If you are concerned about your fitness level, then we recommend Megazip and Parajump which require leaps of faith, not ability!

For those who prefer a physical challenge, ClimbMax and NorthFace provide varying degrees of difficulty – and frequent opportunities to pause and catch your breath if needs be.

Pregnant women can not participate, and if you have a pre-existing medical condition that could flare up, impede you from completing the course or put you or others at risk, we’re afraid you can’t take part – but remember... photo opportunities from the ground are endless!

Do children need to be accompanied by adults?

Children under 50kg will have to travel in tandem with an adult on MegaZip.

If children are confident and capable, they are welcome to conquer the lower and mid levels of ClimbMax and enjoy the ParaJump adventure.

Parents are encouraged to be realistic about their children’s capabilities... we happily coax all those who need it, but long waits while we do so can be tiresome!

What if I fall?

On all adventures at the Park, guests are securely fastened from start to finish in a custom fitted body harness. This harness is attached to a safety wire that follows a continuous path around the course. The safety wire ensures that should a guest fall, their drop is minimal and they can comfortably sit in their harness for as long as required.

MegaZip Adventure Park employs fully trained experts who ensure that guests are harnessed correctly, fully briefed on the safety elements of the Park and conducting themselves in the appropriate manner while using the equipment.

But I’m scared of heights!

High ropes courses are a great way of getting over a fear of heights, called acrophobia. The old adage of “face your fears” is very true, and once you’ve conquered ClimbMax and MegaZip many people leave their fear behind.

We will never make you do anything you don’t want to, but the sense of achievement leaves ex-acrophobiacs beaming from ear-to-ear.

What if I get stuck?

The system has been custom designed by safety experts to avoid you getting physically stuck, but if you decide you can’t carry on, our specially trained instructors can help you through the course.

Remember, you are securely fastened in a harness AND attached to a safety wire from start to finish. So, if you get stuck or tired, just relax and our expert staff will guide you through.

What happens if there is bad weather?

The Megazip Adventure Park operates in rain or sunshine. If extreme weather poses a safety risk, the Park will cease operations until conditions improve.

Our safety equipment is the best available and even senses approaching storms and lightning.

If you’ve had to cut your adventure unreasonably short then we can arrange a time for you to come back again, conditions may apply.

Corporate and Group bookings will be weather dependent.

As always, we endeavour to make your experience the most fun it can be!

When should I arrive for my booking?

Advanced bookings require you to be at the Park 15 minutes before your confirmed time – this enables us to equip and brief you for your adventure. Late arrivals will be subject to availability.

How long does it take?

Once you’ve arrived and been given your wristbands, the briefing and harnessing takes about 20 minutes. Then you can start having fun!

ClimbMax is the longest adventure and should require 15 to 45 minutes per session – largely dependent on fitness, ability and water breaks!

MegaZip and ParaJump are “fast and furious” but you may need to queue up for the signature events during peak times. We strive to provide an efficient and fast moving adventure, but with all things extreme... the person in front of you may need a moment!

What should I wear?

For all of our adventures we recommend you wear appropriate sportswear. Trainers are preferred and avoid loose footwear which may fall off. You are encouraged to cover your shoulders, waist and thighs to minimize any discomfort from the harness.

Don’t forget the sunscreen.

Where can I put my belongings?

We are able to store your belongings on the site whilst you partake in the activities. If you are finishing with a MegaZip, we will bring your belongings down to the beach to meet you to save you coming back up the hill.

You are encouraged to keep your valuables, wallets and purses on you at all times.

Megazip Adventure Park takes no responsibility for personal items left at the site or in our possession.

Can I bring my camera or camcorder?

Absolutely! Take as many photos and videos as you can and we’ll use the great ones on our website!

Your cameras and camcorders must be secured to you, and are your responsibility at all times.
